These words shared by Charlie Munger inspired me to go out and share what I have learned about managing family fortunes. I have had the pleasure of sharing my knowledge of investing and family wealth everywhere up and down both U.S. Coasts and from the warm Canary Islands in Spain to the snow-covered Swiss Alps in Europe.

I enjoy interacting with small, intimate audiences of a dozen curious minds just as much as large audiences of 1,500 people.

Topics

I love talking about everything from picking a perfect stock and becoming a better investor to taking on the role of a family fortune keeper. The topics of money, investing, and family wealth are intimidating enough that’s why I like to keep it light. My favorite part is always questions from the audience. I often say that I see my speaking as a two-way street; I want to learn from my audience as much as I hope they learn from me!

  • Make Money With Money

    I am a stock picker. I love getting to know businesses. I want to understand what makes them succeed. What sets me apart from most investors is patience!

    I learned that to gain a real advantage as an investor; I needed to take a step back and keep a healthy distance. The easiest way to start is to unplug at times! I find my best ideas when I explore new places, talk to new people, and gain new experiences.
